Students are invited to Mr. Skomra’s class (room 12) after school, between 2:40 and 3:30 pm, on April 25 and May 2 to learn about athletes who promote justice, equity, diversity and inclusion in sports and society. They’ll watch G-rated news snippets and talk about how sports are a microcosm of the world and what top athletes do as role models to inspire positive change. The screenings and discussion will be geared toward grades 3 to 5, but all sports-loving students are welcome. There’ll be snacks, too.
