Pre - Enrollment Online Application for the 2024-2025

Please follow the process below to ensure your enrollment application can be processed efficiently.

Step 1: Complete your online Pre -Enrollment Application through LAUSD HERE. Please see below Q&A for additional information.

Once documents are verified, you will receive an email with additional information regarding when to pick up the Enrollment Packet.

Step 2: Pick up Enrollment packet at Ivanhoe on scheduled date and time received.

Step 3: Once packet is complete, schedule an appointment through SignUp Genius to return the packet.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q: How do I know if my child is eligible for the LAUSD TK (Transitional Kindergarten/Early Transitional Kindergarten)/ETK program?

A: Your child’s birthday must be between September 2, 2019- June 2, 2020 to be eligible for the 2024-2025 ETK/TK program.

Q: What documents do I need to upload to my Pre-Enrollment Application?

A: You will need to upload the following:

  • Original Birth Certificate

  • Up-to-date Immunization Card

  • Three (3) proofs of residence (a rental/lease agreement or property tax is mandatory)

  • Parent Identification

Q: Do I need to live within Ivanhoe’s boundary?

A: Yes. Due to our high enrollment, we will only enroll students that live in the Ivanhoe attendance area. We do not grant permits or have open enrollment. We will create a waiting list by grade level, should spaces become available.

Q: How can I find out if Ivanhoe is my resident school?

A: Only use the LAUSD school finder to see if Ivanhoe is your assigned resident school.

Q: How do I know if my child is eligible for the LAUSD TK (Transitional Kindergarten) program?

A: Your child’s 5th birthday must be between September 2 – February 2, to be eligible for the 2023-2024 TK program.

Q: My child is eligible for the TK Program and Ivanhoe is his/her home school, do I need to pre-register my child at Ivanhoe?

A: Yes. You will need to do a Pre-enrollment application at enroll.lausd.net

Q: My child is starting Kindergarten, what are the requirements?

A: Your child must be 5 years old on or before September 1, 2024 and submit a Pre-Enrollment application online.

Q: What documents do I need to upload to my Pre-Enrollment Application?

A: You will need to upload the following:

  • Original Birth Certificate

  • Up-to-date Immunization Card

  • Three (3) proofs of residence (a rental/lease agreement or property tax is mandatory)

  • Parent Identification

The following are examples of documents that may be accepted as proof of residence:

  • A copy of your property taxes or recent tax return

  • A rental/lease agreement with original signatures

  • Your most recent utility service bill (gas, water, electricity)

  • Official government mail (e.g. CalWorks, Social Security)

  • Moving company receipts (with residence address and name)

  • Current pay stub (with residence address and name)

Documents must be original documents from the current month and a parent name must be stated.

We will not accept cable or telephone bills, car insurance, driver’s license, or DMV identification cards as proof of residence.

Please note: An enrollment packet will NOT be given if all required documents are not presented.

Q: What are the Immunization Requirements?

A:  Required Immunization for K – 5th Grade is as follows:

  • Diphtheria, Tetanus, and Pertussis (DTaP, DTP, or DT) - 5 doses 

  • Polio (OPV or IPV) - 4 doses 

  • Hepatitis B - 3 doses      

  • Measles, Mumps, and Rubella (MMR) - 2 doses 

  • Varicella (Chickenpox) - 2 doses

Q: What were the main changes to the Medical Exemption process that came into effect under Senate Bills (SB) 276 and SB 714 (Pan, 2019)?

A: Medical Exemptions new law: Under Senate Bills (SB) 276 and SB 714 (Pan, 2019), all new medical exemptions for school and child care entry must be issued through CAIR-ME  beginning January 1, 2021. Medical exemptions can only be issued by MDs or DOs licensed in California and must meet applicable Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP), and American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) criteria.

Q: What happens after my Pre-Enrollment Application gets approved?

A: You will receive an email confirming the days you can pick up the Enrollment Packet.

Q. What do I do after I pick up the Enrollment Packet?

A. Once packet is completed, you’ll schedule an appointment through SignUp Genius to return the packet. 

Enrollment packets with any incomplete or missing forms will NOT be accepted. 

All forms must be ready, completed, and signed at time of submission. 

Physical health exams can be accepted if physicals were completed 18 months prior to enrollment.

Q: When does the 2024-2025 School Year start?

A: August 12, 2024
